RR - iB Cricket Fan Tour 2019

The Rajasthan Royals’ fans were in for a surprise this Indian cricketing season as their team had lined up a set of exciting events for them. Unlike all other cricketing events, the fans were not just mere spectators, but for a change, they got an opportunity to step onto the field and show their cricketing skills. Rajasthan Royals in association with iB Cricket hosted virtual reality cricket tournaments across Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals, the first-ever team to lift the trophy has a very loyal home crowd, turning up in huge numbers in the stadium year after year to support their team. Reflecting the love of RR fans, Rajasthan Royals joined hands with iB Cricket to enthrall fans across Jaipur with RR - iB Cricket Fan Tour. As a part of the tour, fans got to face the superstars of their favourite team in a virtual game of cricket. Not only that, but they also got to experience what it is like to play in a world-class stadium in front of an electrifying crowd.

The RR - iB Cricket Fan Tour took place in Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Oyo Rooms offices and across all INOXs in Jaipur. No only the fans, but the Rajasthan Royals stars themselves had a great time playing iB Cricket.

The immersiveness of the experience and quality of the graphics had left the fans mesmerized and they were left wanting for more. The moment they put on the VR headset, they were transported to a world-class stadium where the virtual avatars of Ben Stokes and Jaydev Unadkat were itching to have a go at them with the ball in hand. After the event, the fans were all praise for iB Cricket and one of them said, “Your product is amazing. Through this, you are actually playing in the stadium alongside the players.”

Many of the fans had dreamt of playing cricket at the highest level but unfortunately, it cannot be. But with iB Cricket, they got an opportunity to play against some top bowlers and hit the balls around for fours and sixes to put up a great score. The fans played some glorious shots and enjoyed every bit of this enthralling experience. They asked iB Cricket to not just keep these activities going but increase them so that more and more cricket lovers can get a taste of what it is like to play in an intense cricket scenario.

We also happened to come across a sports personality from a different field who tried her hands at iB Cricket. Lavanya Khanuja, the youngest Indian tennis player to play the US Open was in awe of the visuals and graphics of this VR game. She said, “I actually felt like I was playing cricket right on the field; everything was so real.”

Rajasthan Royals wanted to give their fans something in return who have kept their faith in the team over so many years. The fans couldn’t have asked for more after RR organised this RR- iB Cricket Fan Tour. The satisfaction was clearly visible on all the faces of the fans who gave iB Cricket a shot.
